People complain about Tumblr being “too sensitive,” but…I actually kind of appreciate it. It’s helped me get in the habit of checking what I say before I post it, and thinking about how my words might affect others. My writing teachers at school taught me about so-called “proper” grammar and spelling, but they didn’t teach me how to write in a way that respects people. They taught me how to argue a thesis and defend an idea, but they didn’t teach me how to recognize when an idea was fucked-up, and when you should apologize and back down instead of trying to defend what you said.
Tumblr has problems too, of course. But I do feel like I’ve learned something here that I wouldn’t have otherwise.
i’m just going to leave this here
have I talked about how my two cats love each other so much and they literally do everything together and they’re always piled all over each other like

Navajo Kindergartner Sent Home from School, Ordered to Cut His Hair
On Monday, a 5-year-old Native American boy was sent home on his first day of school and ordered to cut his hair short because it allegedly violated district policy, the boy’s mother said.
The child, Malachi Wilson, an enrolled citizen of the Navajo Nation, had been looking forward to his first day of kindergarten at F.J. Young Elementary in Seminole, Texas.
I AM SEETHING. FUCK THE CONTINUATION OF ASSIMILATION EFFORTS AND ASSAULT ON THE PHYSICAL, MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, AND SPIRITUAL WELL-BEING OF NATIVE AND INDIGENOUS PEOPLE.
THIS COUNTRY HAS NO SHAME
NO HISTORICAL BEARING
HAS AMERICA FORGOTTEN SO SOON?
THE TRAGEDY OF NATIVE CHILDREN FORCED TO LEAVE THEIR HOMES FOR RACIST BOARDING SCHOOLS?
WHERE THEIR HAIR WAS CUT? WHERE CHILDREN WERE BEATEN FOR SPEAKING THEIR MOTHER TONGUES? WHERE THEY WERE ABUSED AND FORCED TO HIDE THEIR CULTURE AS A WAY TO SURVIVE?
NEVER FORGET. NEVER.
white people: mike brown robbed that store!
Lawyer: no he didn’t
Store owners: nope
Eye witnesses: nah
white people: MIKE BROWN ROBBED THAT STORE
people who are paying attention: hey hey did you know that robbing a store is not actually grounds for an extrajudicial execution anyway
So, here’s another change for you: if you really think feminism, or women, are destroying games, or that LGBT people and LGBT relationships have no place in games, or that games in any way belong to you or are “under attack” from political correctness or “social justice warriors”: please leave this website. I don’t want your clicks, I don’t want your hits, I don’t want your traffic. Leave now and please don’t come back.
can we all conclude that skinny shaming isn’t a thing at all but also like let’s not pretend like nicki’s video was made to uplift fat girls when really all it does is glorify the extremely hard to achieve ‘extremely small waist/big ass’ look that is very in at the moment, none of the girls in the video were fat at all and all fit the ~skinny thicc~ look that is very en vogue atm like let’s be very real
Not to mention the whole association of dicks with maleness
He called on parents to take responsibility for their sons’ actions, saying parents must teach their sons the difference between right and wrong.
"When we hear about these rapes our heads hang in shame," Mr Modi said.
"Young girls are always asked so many questions by their parents, like ‘where are you going?’. But do parents dare to ask their sons where they are going?" he asked.
“Those who commit rape are also someone’s sons. It’s the responsibility of the parents to stop them before they take the wrong path,” he added.
Okay, say what you want about him, but this is a big deal. This is Prime Minister Modi’s first Independence Day address since being elected. And instead of using this time to talk about Pakistan, like every other Independence Day speech in the past, he stood up there and talked about INDIA’s need for improvement. And amongst his topics, he talked about rape.
And he didn’t describe it as “accidental” or “boys making mistakes”, and he didn’t state that women need to “dress more dignified”, all of which have been said by other Indian politicians. For once, we’re hearing someone put the blame on the rapist, and actually calling out parents to raise their sons properly. Like everyone else, I’m still hoping Modi isn’t another PM who is all talk.
PLEASE DON’T REBLOG THIS PIECE OF SHIT’S COMMENTS ON RAPE.
As Chief Minister of Gujarat, Modi grounded his power on the corpses of over 2000 Muslims who were killed in the genocide of February-March 2002. Before that, he had a tenuous hold on the state. Post-genocide, he skilfully used spurious, disproved and at worst contested evidence of a train fire in which 58 Hindus were killed — the ‘trigger’ for a genocide that had been a long time in the making – to win a landslide electoral victory.
Despite strenuous efforts for justice for the victims of the Gujarat genocide, Modi was able to ensure that nothing stuck to him. Diligent police officers were harassed and transferred out; there was witness intimidation; there were false ‘encounter’ killings of Muslim youth, framed as ‘terrorists’, to build the case that Modi was their intended target.
Members of his government like Maya Kodnani were less fortunate. She got convicted. Many of those involved directly in the genocide have boasted on and off camera of their horrific deeds — torture, dismemberment, burning and hacking to death. Especially targeted were Muslim women, who were sexually tortured, gang-raped in front of their families and then slashed to death. Pregnant women were not spared, their wombs were split open and their fetuses torn out . Victims who called the police to come to their assistance as the killing mobs rampaged through the streets were told “We have no orders to save you.” Instructions had come down from the highest level. He does not give a shit about rape or women. It’s a political tactic to garner support. There is no sincerity in his words, he is a murderer, sexist, pro-Israeli, racist, islamophobic and misogynistic piece of shit.
Modi was accused of complicity in the violence and though he was absolved of all accusations by India’s Supreme Court, the US and European countries rejected visas for Modi in sanctions meant to punish the leader for not doing enough to end the violence.
Israel gained Modi as a business partner and political supporter when he saw that attempting to find financial investment from the US and Europe wasn’t politically viable.
Yet, it isn’t only for financial gain that Israel finds itself naturally partnered with Modi’s BJP. Anti-Pakistan and anti-Islamic rhetoric from BJP officials over the years has drawn India closer to Israel politically and ideologically as they also search for ways to cooperate in fighting terrorism (x)
